This is technically meant to be a five-part teaser to Sonic Mania Plus, but with the way Tyson Hesse and the rest of the staff handle this series, you'd assume it's the pilot of a much-needed cartoon show for everyone's favorite hedgehog, who, for the record, I personally think needs to stop being mistreated by the strangers who claim to be Sonic Team nowadays. And brings a smile to me every time I see it. Thank you so much for giving us an amazing mini-series SEGA, it's truly the best thing I've seen in a very long while. The music amazingly produced and up to par with everything that's happening in the animation it truly shows that a LOT of love was put into the development of this mini-series and is truly something that everyone can sit down and enjoy. The animation is very fluent and very smooth, not one thing about it stands out, it captures the characters classic representations very well. If you're just getting into the series/franchise, and have no clue what the Master Emerald is, from just watching how Knuckles interacts with it, you can tell of how important it is to him, and that he wants to protect it at all cost. Take Knuckles and the Master Emerald for an example. The animation style captures each character's personality spot-on with no mistakes. Words cannot, will not, and for sure just can't express how amazingly well done this mini-series is. I'd hate to end up writing a book about how much I enjoy this mini-series, based on my favorite gaming franchise of all time, but how can I not? That being said, I'll try and keep it to a minimum ahah. if this series is to develop into anything bigger, I would suggest keeping things simple with a maximum of 3 characters (ideally sonic, tails, and robtnik), light with no fight scenes, fast, and most of all, fun! take cues from the first episode. coincidentally, it mirrored exactly what happened to the game franchise after the original title. unfortunately as the series went on, it became violent - with too many characters added to keep track of. environments were colourful and the light plot didn't drag. while dr robotnik (or eggman as he's also known) was an intelligent villain, he wasn't to be taken too seriously. his 'attitude' was fast, playful, and cheeky. it was reminiscent of Sonic's first cartoon outing 'adventures of sonic the hedgehog'. I feel that the first episode achieved the perfect tone for the series. there is no voice acting, and the story is effectively told through movement, gestures, facial expressions, and music. Sonic Dream Team launches on December 5 on Apple Arcade. This series is comprised of five 3 minute episodes, closely based on the classic video games. Personally, the Kingdom Hearts-like water dive in the beginning put new meaning into Dream Drop Distance. Supposedly a guardian of the ancient dream device (stolen by Eggman) called the Reverie, her appearance in the newest title will be pretty large. With the addition of Cream and Rouge, a new sheep character is introduced: Ariem. Eggman’s twisted dreamscape (sadly not related to NiGHTS into Dreams). The story follows Sonic and his friends as they battle fearsome foes within Dr. This isn’t Sonic’s first tour on Apple Arcade, as Sonic Dash+ and Sonic Racing grace the platform. Sorry Android users, but robots don’t tend to be friendly to the hedgehog, as history has shown. This time, you can play on your iPhone, as Dream Team is an Apple Arcade exclusive. It’s a 3D platformer similar to other franchise entries like last year’s Sonic Frontiers. SEGA revealed Sonic Dream Team earlier this month. Since then, he’s spearheaded tons of Sonic-based media and become a beacon for fans. His classic style was loved by fans, which made his later involvement in the opening animation of Sonic Mania a feast for the eyes. Getting his start doing fan art of the self-proclaimed “Fastest Thing Alive,” he found work within the Sonic Archie comics. It doesn’t hurt that the Sonic Dream Team intro is animated by Hesse, whose impact on the Sonic series has been nothing short of influential.
